A good puzzle isn’t hard — it’s fair. The best moment in any escape room is the half-second between “I have no idea” and “oh, of course.” Engineering that gap is the whole job.

The rule of the visible answer

Every solution should be present in the room before players realise they need it. Nothing arrives from nowhere; the trick is making the obvious invisible until the right moment.

That’s why we test each lock with dozens of crews before a room opens. If the “of course” moment doesn’t land, the lock gets rebuilt — not the players blamed.
